The iPad Tablet breaks All Apple Sales Records

Apple has yet again surprised everyone with its new and remarkable Apple iPad tablet. it features an LPS display of 9.7 inches and has an extremely responsive multi-touch finger print free screen. it weighs between 1.5 to 1.6 pounds depending on whether you purchase the Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi +3G version and is amazingly only 0.5 inches thick. The iPad Tablet is thinner and lighter than any laptop or notebook on the market.

The retail price starts at 9, which is much less than what was being projected by various analysts. a 16gb device will cost 9, as where a 32gb iPad will cost 9 and a 64gb iPad will run you a mere 9 with an additional cost of 0 if you want it 3G enabled. it has built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi and 2.1 Bluetooth. it has been pre installed with an accelerometer, microphone, and a great sounding speaker. This Apple tablet comes with built-in iTunes so you can easily download music and or import or export your favorite files. it is also able to access third party video websites such as YouTube and displays them using HTML5 rather than flash. You will soon be able to view movie sites such as Hulu.com as they are in the process implementing HTML5 within their site and will soon be streaming video in H.264 formats. it appears that when Steve Jobs builds something, people will do whatever it takes to make sure their products also support his ideas. Apple simply didn’t need to jump on the flash band wagon. Why? because Apple knows companies will follow!

Apple iPad is able to sync via USB to PCs and Macs as does the iPhone. This helps to seamlessly transfer various forms of data such as movies and or music. it comes with a battery life of 10 hours when using the Wi-Fi or 9 hours of battery life when using AT&T’s 3G service. The iPad also features a month of standby time on just a single battery charge.

For those of you who are more business minded, there is a productivity suite business software for the iPad called iWork, the productivity suite, is the easiest way to create great-looking documents, spreadsheets, and presentations as well as writings on the tablet. it can also view slides and PDF files through Adobe Acrobat.

Accessories that come with the Apple tablet are 1 doc connector, a 10w USB power adapter, and of course one screaming hot iPad tablet. Optional accessories that can be purchased include an external full size keyboard, iPad dock, iPad camera connections, iPad case, and a 10w USB adapter that allows you to charge your iPad from an electrical outlet.

On May 7, 2010, within thirteen states’ US Apple Inc stores made claim that they had sold out of all three versions of the new Apple iPad 3G, setting a new all time Apple sales record. Apple had already sold its one-millionth iPad by April, 30th 2010. The demand for the iPad has continued to rise whereas the supply still continues to fall short. The Apple iPhone took 74 days to cross its one-millionth mark while the iPad tablet took just 28 days to reach the same bench mark. The reason lies behind the amazing and cutting edge features of the iPad, as well as the lower price at which the tablet was introduced to the public.

Apple iPad is a revolutionary gadget that even APPLE refers to as MAGICAL! it has experienced a sudden boost in sales since its entry into the market and has left behind all other APPLE products with great margins. The iPad is every gadget lovers’ first choice do to its number of and functionality of a notebook. moreover, all this comes at a never before affordable price. Until you actually get one of these in your hands, it’s really hard to appreciate the true magic and engineering that Apple has put into this thin little device.

1. Price is approx 1/3 of the Ipad, but is it as functional? I will primarily be showing videos to clients, both on my tablet, as well as from YouTube.
2. Will it have the ability to have a word processor and hook up to a printer?
3. I use Sprint, can I get internet access with it, or do I need to use my aircard?

Is the Google Android tablet a good option when compared to the Ipad. Will it need an aircard?

There is no USB connector on the Ipad. Would a wireless webcam work?
Thank you for your suggestion of the Ipad camera connector. I find it interesting that reviews seem to ignore these items which really are a must have.

Report: Google tablet on the way

For all you iPad fanboys or haters out there, The New York Times is reporting a Google tablet that uses Android is imminent.

Via Wired:

Google is almost ready to start selling its own tablet. The device, according to the New York Times, will be “an e-reader that would function like a computer.” So close is it that Eric Schmidt, CEO at Google, was describing it to friends at “a recent party in Los Angeles.”

A Google tablet wouldn’t be the only other tablet released this year besides the Job’s god machine. Among the companies planning 2010 releases include: Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft and Nokia. There’s also the German-made WePad, by Neofonie, which will also run on Android and Linux. it apparently will feature Flash, Adobe Air and Java script (plus a Web cam), unlike the iPad.

And all this development can only mean one thing: Consumers will benefit.

Via the NYT:

For consumers, it could all be good, as more companies offer their version of the slate, a new breed of consumer electronics, in a design free-for-all. The products, which will generally cost less than $600, provide different, and in some cases unusual, features that reflect the companies’ visions of what matters most to people.

“We’re living in extremely exciting times right now,” said Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, the chief executive of Nokia. “It’s quite challenging to define what industry we are in because everything is changing.”

Sonos is admired for their elegant, if expensive, wireless home audio systems, so it only feels right that soon you’ll be able to turn your iPad into a $500 Sonos remote. Now why can’t I do this with iTunes?

This is actually a pretty appealing idea. I’m finding that I end up carrying my iPad around the house a lot while listening to music on it via headphones—something my MacBook’s too big for, and something that feels weird to do with an MP3 player—so turning it into a wireless remote seems like it would be even more satisfying. the iPad-updated Sonos Controller app will be available for free this August.

Apple has clearly hurt Adobe’s feelings. When Steve Jobs demonstrated an iPad at Wednesday’s tablet event, its Safari browser clearly did not support Flash. Adobe has published a blog post calling Flash the Apple iPad’s “broken link.” And now Adobe’s platform evangelist Lee Brimelow has compiled an illustrative montage (partly screengrabbed above) in an effort to illustrate what the lack of Flash means for the iPad.

Note row two, column two. Adobe has included a porn site. though porn is certainly relevant to many people’s web experiences, that’s kind of a desperate move. my friend Matt Drance, Apple’s former iPhone evangelist, summed up what this means on Twitter: “Adobe has resorted to playing the porn card. It’s over.”

Update: Brimelow has updated his post to remove the porn image, explaining it was a joke — not something we disputed. He also notes that he is only speaking for himself and not on behalf of Adobe. however, we consider him a representative of Adobe because he is the company’s Flash evangelist, and his post is related to his work at Adobe.

Meanwhile, DaringFireball’s John Gruber has posted his response to Brimelow’s montage with an interesting observation:

Flash evangelist Lee Brimelow made his little poster showing what a bunch of Flash-using web sites look like without Flash without actually looking to see how they render on MobileSafari. Ends up a bunch of them, including the porno site, already have iPhone-optimized versions with no blue boxes, and video that plays just fine as straight-up H.264. iPhone visitors to these sites have no idea they’re missing anything because, well, they’re not missing anything. For a few other of the sites Brimelow cited, like Disney and Spongebob Squarepants, there are dedicated native iPhone apps.

Kendall Helmstetter Gelner put together this version of Brimelow’s chart using actual screenshots from MobileSafari, the App Store, and native iPhone apps. The only two blue boxes left: FarmVille and Hulu.
